Green Smoothie Recipes

Have you joined the green smoothie recipes revolution?  I must confess that until very recently I hadn’t.  Oh sure, I’d heard all about how great that green smoothies are for you.  How simply by following a green smoothie recipe (and of course actually drinking it) you can improve your health and possibility even help you shed excess weight.  Logically I KNOW that they are loaded with enzymes, fiber, vitamins and minerals – all of which are obviously good things.

But I have a confession.

I was too scared to try green smoothie recipes.

I was positively certain that they would taste terrible and that my husband would be laughing at me forever for being so silly to think that they would actually be drinkable.

Then a friend of mine was raving about them.  She went on and on (…an on) about how she’d been drinking them every morning and her energy levels had never been higher.  I stopped and looked at her.  Really looked.  She was glowing.  Could it possibility be from all these green smoothie recipes she was drinking?

I started looking online and found that there were actually people who attribute regular green smoothies to healing disease and slowing down aging.

Skeptiacal still, I decided to give green smoothie recipes a try.  (On a day I was home by myself… :) )

The green smoothie recipe below is the one I started with.  It is adapted from Green Smoothie Revolution: The Radical Leap Towards Natural Health, which is a great book that I highly recommend.
